What should I say if anything to a thank you note to me for wrong gift sent to a child's birthday?

Dear Lucia,

Unless you feel there is a good reason for the recipient to learn of this error, please be graciously quiet. A cardinal rule of practical etiquette is that you never cause anyone embarrassmemnt. If you follow this advice, you cannot go wrong.
