girlfriend has sisters from out of town visiting. We are meeting for lunch, should I pick up the tab or should girlfriend & I split the tab?

Dear G,

I believe it is completely acceptable for you and your girlfriend to discuss this arrangement before the meal unless you wish to treat everyone. If you wish to host this meal, politely tell your girlfriend that you wish to take them all to lunch. Practical etiquette asks that we strive for harmony and comfort at all our gatherings.
