Hello Sandi,

This is your wedding with your own guest list. Have your fiance explain to mom that your budget cannot stretch to cover the boyfriend's children. Or you can tell her together. This is not only acceptable, but proper. She is a guest and not the party planner so she gets an invitation plus one!
