Wedding gift list

We are getting married both for the 3rd time and have no need for presents. We were going to ask people to give to charity but then I thought. My wife to be will hopefully have her first grand child a little girl is due two weeks before the wedding. Could we ask for little gifts for her without offending the guests?

Hello Jeremy~

While I undersand the excitement over the approaching granddaughter, your wedding is not the appropriate vehicle for baby gifts. In fact, suggesting guests give to charity is not terribly appropriate either. If you do not wish your guests to give wedding gifts, simply put "No gifts please" on the invitation.
