Years ago, I'd given a girlfriend a diamond/sphire ring. We broke up, she got married. Today, she gave me the ring back. Is it okay, for me to give it to my new girlfriend, or should I just sale the ring?

The answer to this question lies mainly within your relationship with your new girlfriend. If you are willing to tell your new girlfriend the history of the ring you can offer it to her. However, it is quite gauche to re-gift an item this personal without the new recipient knowing the truth.
