Only those involved in the relationship/friendship are able to answer this question. If you are in an agreed upon monogamous relationship the two of you decide this issue. I am assuming the friends are of the gender that could be interpreted as competition? It is definitely poor manners to do so without a discussion beforehand. Without agreement, your relationship could be jeopardized.
