Sending out Bridal Shower invitations

Hi,

I need to know when to mail out Bridal Invitations.
The Bridal Shower is May 19, I need to have a number of guests by May 5th.

Some guests are 2 to 3 hrs away. I want them to have plenty of time to decide.

Invitation and Save the Date Timing

Dear Karen,

When sending invitations for most occasions, mail them 3 weeks to one month ahead of the event. When guests may be traveling over a period of 1 to 2 days or more, sending a "Save The Date" card prior to the mailing the actual invitations provides enough time for the guests to plan their trip. If your guests receive their invitations within 25 days of the event, they should be able to respond back in plenty of time for your head count.
