Dear Event Planner,

Not receiving a reply to your request is very frustrating but how to remedy the issues that arise because of the non-responsive invited guest is the key to your response.


If you need a true guest count for the caterer for example, then calling is appropriate when many have not yet responded. If it is only a few who have ignored your request, then calling is not as appropriate. You need to weigh the importance of the correct guest count against the outcome if you don't have that number.


However, it is always rude to ignore the request for a response to an invitation to any event, large or small.
