What an interesting question! I do not remember being personally involved in this situation, however, very practical etiquette must prevail!

Since this choice made by the bride and her mother is unconventional, I would ask the mother how she would like this to be reflected in the bulletin. What is important is that the wedding members feel comfortable with the arrangement. I imagine that mom and the bride will have some novel ideas for handling this seating dilemma.
