Hostess gifts

We have a group of friends that get together often for dinner and cards. Dinner is usually " bring your own meat to BBQ" the play cards. Are hostess gifts required in this situation ??

Hello Kathleen-

If your group meets often, bringing a hostess gift becomes redundant. Instead, on occasion bring a dessert or some wine as a treat for all present. That will be sufficient.
