Groom's Family Responsibility

Hello Bruce,

The family of the groom’s responsibilities vary with each couple. Traditionally, the groom’s family hosts an invitation only dinner for the wedding party the night before the wedding and after the ceremony rehearsal. The groom’s family may also pay for the bar if it isn’t a cash bar. But this depends upon the wishes of the bride and groom, the financial circumstances of all concerned, etc. In some cases, the groom’s family pays the transportation and lodging expenses for all friends and family of the groom to attend the wedding. If the wedding is to culminate after a few days of planned group activities, the grooms family can pay for those excursions too.
