When a couple becomes engaged, who should give them an egangement party? Can they give themselves a party ?

Donna,

With the permission of the engaged couple, anyone can host an engagement party. If the couple want to throw the party themselves, I suggest they ask some friends to throw the party with them. For example, when put on with another couple, these friends will be perceived as the hosts, making the party seem less self directed.
