How long do I have to stay it's my daughter's wedding ?I think it's the first party really and I want to show support but she's marrying a woman that's as old as me and I see alot of things but truly how long do I have to stay I'd be happy just taking a present and staying an hour but I don't want to come across as being rude so how llong do I have to stay??????

Accepted Protocol

The general accepted protocol for a special occasion like a wedding is an hour and a half to two hours. Leaving in a hour may send the message you say you don't wish to convey. Unless you are not well or there is an emergency, try staying as long as you can after the first hour.
